Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Demosyne (“Demosyne”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of demosyne.com, the Demosyne console, and the Demosyne API (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it, and “you” means that organization.

Demosyne runs long-horizon agent simulations. The Service lets you define scenarios, run simulated worlds, observe and measure what happens inside them, and manage the API keys and billing that make that possible. We may improve, add, or retire features of the Service over time.

You are responsible for your account, for keeping your sign-in method and API keys confidential, and for everything done with them. API key secrets are shown once at creation and stored only as hashes; if a key may be compromised, revoke it in the console immediately. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

You agree not to:

— use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others; — probe, breach, or test the security of the Service other than through a disclosure agreed with us in writing; — resell or provide access to the Service to third parties except as agreed; — interfere with the operation of the Service or attempt to exceed the access your account and keys grant; — use output of the Service to misrepresent simulated events as real ones.

Paid use of the Service is metered against prepaid credits held by your organization. Payments are processed by Stripe; purchased credits are consumed by run and model usage as shown in your organization’s ledger. Except where required by law or agreed in writing, credits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Pricing may change with notice; changes do not affect credits already purchased.

You retain your rights to the scenarios, configurations, and other material you submit, and to the simulation outputs of your runs. You grant us the license needed to operate the Service on your behalf — to store, process, and display that material to you and your organization. We may use aggregated, de-identified operational telemetry to improve the Service. The Service itself — its software, design, models of operation, and public content — belongs to Demosyne and its licensors.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Simulations are research instruments: their outputs are generated by machine learning models and describe simulated worlds, not facts, advice, or predictions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Demosyne will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenues, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability under these terms is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms or creates risk for the Service or others, with notice where practicable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 6–8) survive it.

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new revision date, and continued use after a change is acceptance of it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Questions go to contact@demosyne.com. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
